FULL-TIME POSITION
We have an excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technologist to join our expanding team. Duties would include providing technical support in conducting research, preparing design and technical drawings and assisting with some field review for a variety of building types and complexity that focus on multi-residential & commercial projects. You would be an integral part of the design team.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of building design projects.
- Analyze building codes, site requirements and other technical documents and reports.
- Prepare sketches, Revit drawings, details & 3D renderings.
- Coordinate with other consultants, clients and contractors throughout the project.
- Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures.
- Facilitate design process and coordinate design with other in-house design disciplines.
- Liaise with approving authorities when producing documentation for regulatory approval.
- Meet with internal (and external) licensed architects & engineers, in order to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Analyze building codes, by-laws, space, site and permit requirements, and identify potential design limitations and/or effects of same on building architectural designs.
Position Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Architectural Technology (P.Tech) or related programs.
- Relevant work experience an asset (Compensation is commensurate to experience)
- Strong knowledge of Revit
- Experience in Lumion an asset.
- Strong knowledge in the National Building Code of Canada.
- Interest in and dedication to design issues and quality management.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.
- Ability to work independently within an integrated, team environment.
- Be a team player
Experience:
Revit: 1 year (Preferred)
